Europe’s Leading Public-Private Partnership for Cloud

The Helix Nebula Initiative is a partnership between industry, space and science to establish a dynamic ecosystem, benefiting from open cloud services for the seamless integration of science into a business environment. Today, the partnership counts over 40 public and private partners.

ESA presented Helix Nebula at GigaOM: Structure Europe, London on 18-19 of September 2013 in London, U.K.

Structure has tracked and predicted the future of the cloud for six years and has attracted thousands of attendees since its inception, with tens of thousands watching our Livestream. Structure:Europe is a unique arena for the EMEA technology market, and a must attend for any executive or analyst who is looking for ahead of the curve insights in the infrastructure technology sphere.

 At GigaOM Structure Europe, Maryline Lengert, ESA, was interviewed by David Meyer. She presented briefly the initiative, its current status, what has been learnt so far and which pilot projects are currently being deployed. She
emphasised that federation of resources is a key element of Helix Nebula and that is what makes this initiative so unique. She also explained the concept of the Blue Box.
