Europe’s Leading Public-Private Partnership for Cloud

The Helix Nebula Initiative is a partnership between industry, space and science to establish a dynamic ecosystem, benefiting from open cloud services for the seamless integration of science into a business environment. Today, the partnership counts over 40 public and private partners.

Cloud Research Innovation Towards the European Open Science Cloud session at EuroCloud Forum, 7 October 2015, Barcelona

On 7th October 2015Bob Jones, CERN & PICSE Coordinator & Helix Nebula Initiative co-chair, attended the Eurocloud forum held in Barcelona  as an invited speaker to present the work of Helix Nebula, PICSE, the future HNSciCloud PCP project and plans for the European Open Science Cloud.

More than 200 participants attended the event and the audience was particularly interested in the issues that public research procurement organisations find in the procurement process, the work of PICSE and the idea of a joint procurement.
