Europe’s Leading Public-Private Partnership for Cloud

The Helix Nebula Initiative is a partnership between industry, space and science to establish a dynamic ecosystem, benefiting from open cloud services for the seamless integration of science into a business environment. Today, the partnership counts over 40 public and private partners.

Past Events

Head of CERN's OpenLab Project, Mr. Bob Jones, presented Helix Nebula at the 3rd Annual European Cloud Computing Conference in the 9th of April 2014 in Central Brussels.

ESA will present Helix Nebula at the 2nd International Conference on Research Infrastructures (ICRI 2014), on 2-4 April in Athens, Greece.

Helix Nebula attended the RDA Third Plenary event held 26 to 28 March 2014 at the Croke Park Conference Centre in Dublin, Ireland.

A Helix Nebula focused demo was showcased during this year's Future Internet Assembly, "FIA2014 - Reshaping Infrastructure for Innovation", held 18-20 March 2014 in Athens, Greece.

T-Systems presented Helix Nebula at the Copernicus Big Data Workshop in 13-14 March 2014 in Brussels, Belgium.

T-Systems presented Helix Nebula – The Science Cloud, as part of its Innovation-Programme at the Cebit event in Hannover from 10-14 March.

The CeBIT is one of the most important and internationally widely renowned events of the digital industry. Through its unique combination of trade fair, conferences, keynotes, corporate events and lounges, it has become a significant initiator for efficient initial business contact as well as economic success.

From 10 to 14 March, Hannover Exhibition Grounds hosted the most important event of digital economy worldwide.

ESA presented Helix Nebula at the 2nd Innovation Union on 10-11 March 2014 in Brussels.

The Innovation Convention is an essential part of the Innovation Union flagship initiative, the European Union strategy which aims to create an innovation-friendly environment that makes it easier for great ideas to be turned into products and services that will bring our economy growth and jobs.

 

ESA presented Helix Nebula at the Workshop on Big Data and Extreme-scale Computing on 26-28 February 2014 in Fukuoka Japan.

Helix Nebula was presented at the EU Cloudscape VI in Brussels in 24-25 February 2014.

Cloudscape series has become an annual date for funding agencies, service providers, end-users, IT analysts and information security experts to debate on the Cloud computing landscape, covering benefits and challenges for research, enterprise, and government with practical use cases, success stories from Europe’s R&D landscape and  ample networking opportunities.

Helix Nebula was presented at "EGI towards Horizon 2020" Workshop in Amsterdam on 04-06 December 2013.

The three days of “EGI towards Horizon2020” Workshop on 4-6 December in Amsterdam offered a unique opportunity to discuss current challenges and opportunities under new Horizon 2020 EU Research programme in e-Infrastructures strategy and distributed computing development in Europe.
