HEPTech Academia Meets Industry on Big Data ICT1, 31 March 2015, Budapest

CERN, DESY, STFC, FAIR/GSI and ELTE, SZTAKI, WIGNER together with the HEPTech Network, are organising two Academia-Industry Matching events on Information Technology, focusing on Big Data Applications in Science and Industry.

The first of these two events took place on the 31st of March 2015 and brought together Academia and Industry to share ideas, potential applications and fostering collaborations in the newly emerging field of Big Data and related topics.

Wolfgang Lengert, ESA Mission Manager & HNI representative, illustrated the creation of dynamic value chains building on GEO/GEOSS and how Helix Nebula helped fulfill a GEO task. The functionalities of the exploitation platform were highlighted and of interest of the audience.
