Europe’s Leading Public-Private Partnership for Cloud

The Helix Nebula Initiative is a partnership between industry, space and science to establish a dynamic ecosystem, benefiting from open cloud services for the seamless integration of science into a business environment. Today, the partnership counts over 40 public and private partners.

Helix Nebula @ Cloud Expo Europe, 29-30 January 2013, London

Robert Jenkins (CloudSigma) will present Helix Nebula - the Science Cloud at the "Cloud Expo Europe", 29-30 January 2013, London.
Ian Bird (CERN) will represent the demand-side partners of the Helix Nebula project in the same event.
 
CERN: Big Science Data and the Cloud The presentation will discuss how CERN has built a worldwide distributed computing environment to support analysis of the 60 PB of LHC data.  As part of the "Helix Nebula ¬ The Science Cloud" initiative CERN has been moving parts of this environment into the cloud.  The talk will describe some of the challenges and successes, and will discuss the outlook for scientific Big Data processing in clouds.
 
Cloud Expo Europe is a specific event for businesses and public sector organisations – big and small – seeking to deliver effective cloud strategies on time and on budget.
