Europe’s Leading Public-Private Partnership for Cloud

The Helix Nebula Initiative is a partnership between industry, space and science to establish a dynamic ecosystem, benefiting from open cloud services for the seamless integration of science into a business environment. Today, the partnership counts over 40 public and private partners.

A new start for Europe: Opening up to an ERA of Innovation, 22-23 June 2015, Brussels, Belgium

On the 22-23 June 2015, Bob Jones, CERN & PICSE Coordination and Helix Nebula Initiative Chair, attended the workshop "A new start for Europe: Opening up to an ERA of Innovation".

This workshop brought together participants from key research and innovation organisations to discuss EU policies on three interconnected topics: Open Science, the European Research Area and Innovation.

The workshop covered a broad range of issues including:

  • the results and outcome of the ‘Science 2.0: Science in Transition’ consultation
  • the ERA Roadmap
  • open labour market for researchers
  • building up an innovation ecosystem
  • future markets
