Europe’s Leading Public-Private Partnership for Cloud

The Helix Nebula Initiative is a partnership between industry, space and science to establish a dynamic ecosystem, benefiting from open cloud services for the seamless integration of science into a business environment. Today, the partnership counts over 40 public and private partners.

Helix Nebula @ School of Computing Engineering, 10-12 September 2013, Oviedo, Spain

Cern visited the School of Computing Engineering in Oviedo, Spain in 10-12 September 2013.

The University of Oviedo is a public institution of higher education and research in the Principality of Asturias which has over 400 years of history.
Since its founding in 1982, the School of Engineering at the University of Oviedo has been a national reference center in training professionals.

 The event CERN participated, was the Opening Talk for the new university year. The presentation went very well, with increased interest from students and professors.

The topic was the cloud efforts that CERN is carrying out, including of course, Helix Nebula, as part of their IT strategy.
