Helix nebula @ EUDAT conference, Rome 29 October 2013
CERN, ESA, T-Systems, attended and presented Helix Nebula at the 2nd EUDAT conference, held on the 29th of October 2013 in Rome, Italy.
The EUDAT vision is to support a Collaborative Data Infrastructure which will allow researchers to share data within and between communities and enable them to carry out their research effectively.
Maryline Lengert, representing ESA, spoke about Helix Nebula during Plenary II entitled “Life and Earth Sciences at a cross-road: Community driven flagship initiatives in the EU and USA”, on 29th of October 2013.

She was also one of the guest panelists of the “Public-private Partnerships” parallel track, joined as well by Jurry de la Mar of T-Systems (link: http://www.eudat.eu/parallel-track-ii-interoperabilities).
The Public-Private Partnerships Parallel Track opening interval was chaired by Bob Jones, who offered one of the success-story presentations on Helix Nebula (link: http://www.eudat.eu/system/files/EUDAT-PPP_Jones-Oct2013.pdf), as part of the track agenda focused on “Public-Private Partnerships & e-Infrastructures”.
In addition to this, Bob Jones also gave a talk on “Federated Identity Management for Research Collaborations” during the “Federated AAI” parallel track, held previously that day.
