Europe’s Leading Public-Private Partnership for Cloud

The Helix Nebula Initiative is a partnership between industry, space and science to establish a dynamic ecosystem, benefiting from open cloud services for the seamless integration of science into a business environment. Today, the partnership counts over 40 public and private partners.

CERN presented Helix Nebula  at the Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture for the 41st Workshop of the International School of Geophysics on "A Roadmap for Earth Science in Europe: The next generation of Geophysical Research Infrastructures".

EPOS being listed on the ESFRI roadmap is elaborating  "A roadmap for Earth Science in Europe: The next generation of Geophysical Research Infrastructure".

The workshop outlined the complementarity of HN and EPOS approach. The federation of data and knowledge promotes the creation of a cross-domain science ecosystem within the "Geohazard Supersite Exploitation Platform" (SSEP).  

 The presentation on HN stressed how the EIROforum e-infrastructure vision highlighted many of the issues discussed by EPOS members during this workshop.
